Ran my hawk squadron using my Squadron Forward system. Their group commander comes by to teach them a lesson. Report found here:

Where are the counters from? One of JD Webster's games?

Joe,

Excellent fight, thanks for posting! The table looked great, as do the minis and their flight stands, very impressive.

Looked like a great flight, and those were some fantastic damage rolls by the French. I love the brash pilot that intentionally flubbed the maneuver in order to gain freedom to maneuver; "I don't need no stinkin' wingman!"

Jack

Yes the counter's are from one of Webster's games; the BOB one I think.
Thanks Jack; hard to make an air battle "pop" but I think it looks pretty good. Yes our good Sgt has a "possibility" of failing every maneuver so he eventually gets his way. So far no one has caught on. ( unlikely after the battle.)

It's always cool to interject some personality into the games. My dogfights have been rather vanilla so far, but the goal is to build up some history, which will then serve to provide basis for adding color. That and I didn't want to get too invested in pilots that were going to get whacked right off the bat ;)

Jack,
As you know for me it is a must. It is all about the story. You have Squadron Forward right? It should work for jet combat as well. If you don't Platoon Forward can give you the personalities. I labeled 6 as not conducive to being a good wingman. If you need the list let me know.

Joe

PS Have confidence they won't get wacked. If you don't who will?

Joe,

Yeah man, I've got Platoon Forward, Grunts Forward, and Squadron Forward. I know how to do it, I'm just running vanilla pilots through this first campaign in order to see who survives. To your point:

"Have confidence they won't get wacked. If you don't who will?"
Sorry guys. I'm running a four-day campaign, three dogfights a day for a total of 12 pilots. I'm not at all sure I'll have any pilots left ;)

V/R,
Jack
