"Recon 2017 - The Case of the Tempestuous Temple" Topic

My long time gaming buddy and I ran our latest Pulp adventure at HMGS-South's Recon 2107 in Orlando, FL.

The Adventure centered around the Mysterious Dr Fu Manchu needing a suitable donor to give up their life force so that he may continue to live. Obviously the selected donor objected to this donation, and the adventure was on!

Peripheral to these goings on, Indiana Jones, Doc Savage, Operator #5, Jack Cutter, Fearless Fosdick, The Thule Society, Stahl Maske, River Pirates, The Sengh Brotherhood, the US Navy and the USMC all became tied up these goings on in one way or another. Each group also had their own objectives to pursue.

We had 12 players in the game and all had a great time.

In the chaos, half of the town burned down, several boats were stolen, more boats were run aground or burned, a virgin (who turned out to not be a virgin) was almost sacrificed, Fealess Fosdick got a date to the Policeman's Ball, several international incidents with foreign nationals occurred, the Marines won a drinking contest with the Navy, a bar was trashed, a dog was saved from some local's cookpot, Stahl Maske wound up being ambushed, hogtied, left in a pig pen and impersonated. I am sure that other things happened, but these were the highlights.

Can you elaborate on what each groups objectives were? I have been planning on doing a big pulp game like yours and am curious what you came up with.

Here are the objectives that we used for the game:
Indiana Jones Objectives:
•Major: Examine the Portal
•Minor-1: Interpret the characters on the portal
•Minor-2: Continue to explore the rest of the excavation site.

Doc Savage Objectives:
•Major: Examine the Portal
•Minor-1: Interpret the writing on the portal
•Minor-2: Continue to explore the rest of the excavation site.

Jake Cutter Objectives:
•Major: Find and rescue Sara.
•Minor-1: Protect Cutter's Goose

Fearless Fosdick Objectives:
•Major: Help any folks in danger.
•Minor-1: Get a date for the Policeman's ball

The United States Navy/USMC Objectives:
•Major: R&R!
•Minor-1: Be on the lookout for any trouble
•Minor-2: Help any American expatriates

Operator #5 Objectives:
•Major: Determine the whereabouts of Stahl Maske and determine his mission
•Minor-1: Gather evidence about the device
•Minor-2: Possible undercover operation

The Yangtze River Pirates Objectives:
•Major: Find the Sengh Brotherhood
•Minor-1: Run them out of town.

The Sengh Brotherhood Objectives:
•Major: Follow Fu Manchu's orders
•Minor-1: Stay clear of the Yangtze River Pirates.

The Thule Society Objectives:
•Major: Find the Gestapo operative in China Station who has your orders
•Minor-1: Follow the orders to the letter while avoiding Stahl Maske.
•Minor-2: Be on the lookout for Operator #5

Stahl Maske Objectives:
•Major: Find the Gestapo Agent and get the Orders
•Minor-1: Outdo Countess Windenburg and compete her mission
•Minor-2: Watch out for Operator #5

The Insidious Dr. Fu Manchu Objectives:
•Major: Restore your youth and vitality with the Gateway
•Minor-1: Do not reveal your plan until the last minute
•Minor-2: The Sengh will follow your every command
