The line lancer regiments of my 15/18mm Napoleonic collection (minus the most of the foreign regiments and most of the Polish). These are almost all AB minis. The two last regiments are CGM and Warmoddeling minis (in that order). All were painted by Neil at RBP. Hope you like them! Ps: feel free to comment or ask any questions, also regarding regiments (since these are untiteled).

What size are the bases ? They all look really good John |
Dr Jeckyll | 07 May 2017 11:36 p.m. PST |
Thanks for the comments:) John: these bases are 25mm x 25mm. I do however find them a little small, and for subsequent cavalry I have increased to 30 x 30 in order to increase the footprint of each regiment and have room for more flock. |

Note that the lance pennons for the six French Regts. should always be red over white. Not sure about the others. |

Camcleod, Your comment is the sort that either raises hackles and gets a furious response, or is the whole reason this forum exists. To exchange info, express an opinion and be proved right or wrong. And the host can either thank you, get cross, or simply accept a slight error and choose to ignore it. I was so overcome (how good is the aurore?) I did not even notice. Well spotted… I can however confidently say that, before 1811, you are totally wrong….. no French Ligne Chevauleger lanciers carried a red over white pennon…not a single one………. Wonder why? |

I could not agree more Deadhead! It is why this forum is so valuable. About the pennons, you are absolutely correct of course Camcleod. Even though the odd painting and drawing has the pennons in the facing colors, it is supposed to be red over white. I have to admit that it is on purpose that I took the liberty to have them in the facing color, simply because I think it looks so good.. As for the others above: The 30th Chasseurs, or 9th Chevaux legers lanciers (lancers of Hamburg), should, according to all the sources I have found, have yellow over white pennons. As for the former Vistula lanciers, the 7th and 8th, they should also be red over white. So at least I have them correct…I think… |

I really like those 'Hamburg' lancers. I intend to do this regiments as well. Very nice paint job. |
