I noticed a new part work magazine out in the newsagency on military vehicles. Each issue comes with a painted model. They appear to be 1/72. Anyone else seen it? They seem cheaper than many model partworks, because of a smaller model, I guess. |

A chap on Facebook's 20mm Ramblings bought some in Australia. Someone else posted this link. They are 1/72. link |

DeAgostini probably publishes it, the DeAgostini series on the JSDF has some otherwise impossible-to-find models (Kawasaki OH1 Ninja, for example). |

Are they on sale in the U.K.? |

First issue is cheap at AU$4.99 and has Rommel's Grief half track as the vehicle. Next issue appears to be AU$9.99 and subsequent issues AU$14.99. Mix of WWII and post-war vehicles in the pipeline. |

I believe they are in the UK. Ask at your news agency/newspaper shop. It would have been nice to have a sherman (or something else more for multi buys) on the first, cheap, issue. Surly they would realize collectors and gamers would buy multiple of some vehicles, especially at a cheap price. I guess they thought that may artificially inflate their initial sales figures. Fare enough, but they may be stuck with a lot of armored cars. First issues are always made in ludicrously large quantities for a cheap price (I still have nightmares of being swarmed by Moria goblins). |

I can use 250s so if I can find them I will bear them in mind. Otherwise, they are available from the website and eBay, so the odd vehicles will come in handy. |

Doesn't appear to be a de agostini (sp) magazine – they seem to be focussed on models that are built up over time. And cannot find a UK magazine from Amercom – anybody know who these are being published by? Thanks |

These are the DeAgostini/Amercom vehicles that went on sale in the UK last year. They made it to about 15 issues before WH Smith stopped carrying them and went in to trains or build your own millennium falcon over 1,000 issues or something. Fabbri are similar but more basic models. I have just turned my BM 21 into a command vehicle using the S&S office body – it works really well and paints up nicely. A lot of my Cold War Soviets are magazine models and they are as good as any of the more expensive and time consuming cousins. |
