The Society of Ancients holds an annual Battle Day at which a selected historical battle is gamed using multiple rulesets. The results are then published in the Society's magazine. The Society's magazine also publishes one or more articles before the event, researching the battle. What would be your level of interest in seeing this same material presented annually in book form? |

Nil, As you say its all published in Slingshot anyhow and there is ongoing discussion on the SOA forum. If you join the SOA you get a lot of other stuff too-including discounts on figures and books. I've been a member for most of my life, it is a subscription I never hesitate to renew. |

If it were to be in book form the different battle articles would have to be greatly expanded. Otherwise the book would only have about a dozen pages. As noted Society membership provides discounts and six issues of a great magazine per year. |

I think it would be an interesting book if it compiled the battle days since the beginning. Interesting history of ancients wargaming I reckon? |

I'd buy it. I took part in one (Cynoscephalae) and the battle notes they produced were great, Be worth it just for them. |

As above. My SOA membership is the best gaming investment I make every year. |
