Managed to acquire a few hundred "Flashing Blade" 10mm French infantry, which I am going to paint up as the Italian Division of Pino in Spain in 1809. The light cavalry and horse artillery apparently wore a czapka rather than shako at this period. Short of some fairly delicate headswap surgery, anyone got any suggestions as to suitable figures? |

Nnascati- yes, they are the obvious ones for the cavalry, although I think most Polish cavalry figures have a moulded lance. Would not be too difficult to remove that, I suppose. Did Polish horse artillery wear czapka? I have AB Poles in 18mm, the artillery figures are wearing a French type shako but they are field artillery. Will check it out. Think Magister Militum might be only range with comprehensive collection for Poles,; Pendraken's Poles seem to be " a work in progess" |
