When I was looking around for a post-apocalyptic game, I found some games that seem interesting. All the games can be found on Wargame Vault, and I'm wondering if you've played the games, just to know if they're good or not. The games are called Blast Pistol, FiveCore 3rd edition, and no stars in sight.

You ought to look at 2 hour wargames stuff too. They have some post apoc skirmish games.

I have yet to play blast postal, but 5core and No Stars In Sight are both fantastic.

Are the rules easy to learn?

Also, what's the difference between the two?

Three Post Apoc Skimrish games for you to consider. All three of these have both provided factions and rules to make your own. Listed in order of rules complexity, though none of them is rules-heavy. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these.

1) Nuclear Renaissance. Has some similarities to necromunda in rules but also has very good vehicle creation rules. Free from Ramshackle games. Also a range of great vehicle models.

2)This is Not a Test (TNT) a bit more modern style of rules, but the campaign and advancement system is very Necromunda-like. A huge number and variety of factions.

3)Wreck Age. Another good skrimish. Has the option to be run as a minis game or an RPG. Cool setting and made by some nice guys right here in Chicago. A cool range of miniatures too.

I'm currently not looking for a post apocalyptic game. I already found one. But while I was looking I found some interesting games and I'm just wondering what they were.

Capt Flash02 May 2017 5:34 a.m. PST

Sooooo, what did you find?

RetroBoom02 May 2017 8:02 a.m. PST

Narwhal – 5core is both quick to learn and fast playing. NSIS isn't hard, but it's less straight forward than 5core. Good news is that the author is enthusiastic to answer questions should they arise.

Also note that they're different sizes of game. They can overlap a bit, but 5core usually tops out around 10-12 models a size, where as standard NSIS is around 30.
