Anyone know what's going on with Kampfgruppe Commander III? I'm on the Yahoo site for it and there is nothing about how the new revised edition is progressing. Doug |

KGC III? Didn't really know there was to be one. |

If they are doing a III would love to see them return to many of the concepts they abandoned or substantially changed from the original Clash of Armor. I still think the original had some of the best command and control rules/procedures. |

Back in the summer of 2015, the creator of the game had mentioned an updated version, calling it KCG III. He also asked for some input as to how to make the game a little better. There were some good ideas handed out…coloured photos, better flow of rules (??), more examples and such. Then by the beginning of 2016 there was an update as too where the rules were at for design and printing. There's been some questions asked but nothing else. Here we are in April 2017 and there's not alot of info as too what's happening. Link to Boardgamegeek for a brief look at KGC III link |

Is "Clash of Armor" the one from Clash of Arms games? |
Marc33594 | 30 Apr 2017 11:56 a.m. PST |
It is Extra Crispy. David Reynolds, the author of Clash of Armor then published a "2nd edition" under Sovereign Press and named it Kampfgruppe Commander: Clash of Armor II. This was followed by Kampfgruppe Commander II Mr Reynolds put out under Legio X. |

How different is CoA vs KGC II ?? |
Marc33594 | 01 May 2017 8:36 a.m. PST |
The biggest differences between KGC & KGC II and CoA are in the command and control system and combat system. Many describe the command and control system of CoA as a bit clunky and slow. I find the streamlining in KGC & KGC II looses the unique flavor that made CoA special. I would agree the combat system in CoA just doesnt click for many, myself included. I haven't played in years but combining the original command and control system of CoA with say the combat system in KGC might be viable but then I think the command and control system in CoA could be grafted on to many sets of rules. There is a Yahoo group for KGC II |

Any way to get CoA these days other than paying through the nose on Ebay? |

There isn't much activity on the KGC II yahoo site at the moment. That's why I asked here if anyone knew or knows what is happening with the newest edition that's supposed to be coming out. |

I've been asking what's different between II and III for over 18 months and have been told a thing. Was told it would be out by Christmas, 2015. And I do mean 2015. |

Got a response on the Yahoo KGC II page. Sounds like we might hear more sometime by June for KGC III. Doug |

This from the author on the Yahoo group: "We are please to announce that we have been able to overcome the obstacles that have been holding up the publication of Kampfgruppe Commander 3rd edition. The rules will be published through the Wargame Vault and will be available through Capitan Games (and on the Wargame Vault website). We will be loading the files into their system soon and ordering hard copies as proofs. If all goes well the rules should be available in September. Yours, David Reynolds" |
