Anyone tried Chariots Rampant-the Bronze Age variant of the popular Lion Rampant rules? If so, how did you get on and what do you think?

Coming late to Lion Rampant, as I did, I only thought of using it for Troy etc this week. A quick google and I saw others had been doing so for a couple of years.

I'm interested in how chariots are rated. Any thought most welcome.

Yes, we tried it a couple of times.
Works Ok as a game, but it feels like a Medieval skirmish, not chariot warfare.

Thanks Dexter. How did you rate your chariots?

We used the stats in the magazine article – the chariots got 'skirmish' as free action, which works quite well, as it makes them very manoeuvrable.

That sounds right. I've just bought a pdf of the magazine.
