This past weekend we fought out another great "Campaign in a Day" event at The Portal gaming space in Manchester, Ct, using the Snappy Nappy rules by Russ Lockwood. The first post is up, covering the initial deployments and plans of campaign:
Austrian Planning Map
Overview of the Miniatures Gaming room at The Portal, with all 17 of their 4 x 6 foot tables in use for the campaign.
GM Daniel Burkley also provided all of the very fine 15mm troops; these were the boys of my own command. Much more on the blog at: link Much more to come… Peter |

Very impressive, but for some reason, every time I hear someone mention the "Snappy Nappy" rules it makes me think of babies … |

It's a British thing… Nappy doesn't have that connotation to us Yanks! :-) It makes me think of the grand sweep of armies over an entire theater of war! :-)

I wanted to name the rules something completely different… and give it a different look…
to reflect a faster moving game that can scale from a one-on-one small battlefield of a couple feet to a massive multi-player, multi-table campaign in a day. Full disclosure: I wrote the rules. And yes, I knew what 'nappy' meant in the UK, but SN sounded memorable. :) |
