As you may be aware, Joe Piddington is producing a documentary about the hobby which is nearing completion and he just needs a few more bits and bobs to get the thing finished.

One of the things he needs is a decent photo of the late Peter Gilder and, of course, permission to use it.

I only attended Peter Gilder's WHC once in 1987, and the only photo I have with him in shows the back of his head! :-(

If any of you have a decent photo of Peter and are happy to give permission for it to be used in "Miniature Wargaming, the Movie" then please contact producer/director Joe Piddington on miniaturewargamingthemovie@gmail.com as soon as possible.

You can find out more about the project, which began as a successful Kickstarter, at

You may want to try contacting Doug Mason the figure painter. From what I understand he knew Peter Guilder very well, and he may have some photos.

Can't pics be taken from the Battle programs? He certainly is present in those. Peter's son has a very clean version of Peter on one of the Battleground programs on his youtube site. All the pics you'd need.

Please contact Joe with this info guys — and what he needs are actual web links, street addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and so on so that he can get actual written permission.

hi

I have a scan of a old Military modeling article call personalities in profile on mr. Gilder. It has a picture of him in the article. PM and Ill send it to you.

Wackmole9 — unfortunately scans from old magazines will not be sufficient, because Joe would then have to seek the permission of the magazine publisher and original photographer, adding to the complication.

This appeal is for photos taken by *us*, wargamers who met him, so that we can give direct permission for the use of our images.
