The French Foreign Legion fought in Norway and Metropolitan France in 1940. Did the legionnaires where the standard French uniform with the Kepi or a differnt one in France.

In Norway they fought in olive drab coveralls and/or sheepskin coats over standard French uniform. In France it was standard uniform with legion distinctions. In action they would have worn the Adrian helmet. Take a look at this photo: link
