There's more of this kind of thing on my blog.
These ones are mostly Peter Pig Crow Scouts in 15mm. There are also some cavalry and Indian women and children and tepee's and thoughts on Indian warfare. Drop by if you would like a look. withob.blogspot.co.uk |

Very nice. Thanks for sharing. I want to start collecting Indian Wars stuff, but I'm having trouble deciding on a scale. The Peter Pig stuff and the Blue Moon range look good, but I don't know if they are compatible. |

Thanks Paul. Blue Moon tend towards the larger end of the '15mm' offerings, certainly you will notice it with their infantry, almost 18mm. The riders on the other hand are noticeably smaller though the horses are in scale with the foot. They might mix OK with Peter Pig if not on the same bases. Blue Moon will fit with Old Glory very well. Peter Pig are very good with QRF and Minifigs. |

My Plains War collection is almost all Blue Moon, love 'em! I do have some Peter Pig Indian villagers since when I started Blue Moon didn't offer any. Like Oh said, PP are smaller but as long as they arent on the same stand, I don't mind. Either way you go, lots of good stuff out there. And yes I agree with Paul, your figs are great, Oh! |

Hi OB, Looking splendid as usual. I've always loved the look of Peter Pig figures – so much character to them. A long-standing dream of mine (which I suspect will never come to fruition) is to do a project centred around Ian Beck's Pony Wars rules, with all the required hundreds of figures. I'd always thought Peter Pig figs would hold pride of place in such a project. Who knows, maybe one day… Thanks so much for sharing! Daryl |

for Paul C. – A couple of other ranges to consider, Hovels has a range with some unique elements no one else makes for the period, Minifigs has a nice range of options, and Freikorps has a very useful range (and check their nearby ranges for other civilian figures like AWI and ECW. Blue Moon can give you a one-stop-shop, though. And I don't think any two figures in the range are the same. But to match in size you pretty much have to go to Irregular as far as I know. The latter is a bit cruder sculpt but paint up just fine. I mix them all in my collection. But Peter Pig is distinctly smaller than Blue Moon – very distinctly (as is Hovels range). The Miniigs and Freikorps are also smaller but not so dramatically. I'm hoping Blue Moon adds a surrey and brougham to their wagons for the period – and a woman riding in the Surrey! |

Thanks lads. Yes Pony Wars made quite an impact but Its not easy to get a copy these days. Whoever owns the copyright should do a reprint. I'd certainly buy a copy. The tepees above are Irregular I don't have any of their figures for this though. |

I have a lot of the Hovels figs. I just use two washers when I mount them instead of one. It really does make a difference. |
