Great thanks for posting this, had not realised it was up.

Woot!!! Getting closer…

Ceterman, no good deed goes unpunished. Is there a PDF for the tournaments? I'm looking to get into the Saga tournament and that will curtail the timing of other PEL events.

"They removed the PEL from the web-site." But you can still go to it thru my link! They must be updating it or something!

Historicon PEL is back up. Looks like it was updated yesterday (4/24). Thanks to Events crew!

Here's a rough breakdown of the games by day and type from the PEL listed above:

Thursday: 111 total games, with 27 of them Fantasy/SciFi;
Friday: 195 games, 40 Fantasy/SciFi;
Saturday: 173 games, 42 Fantasy/SciFi; and
Sunday: 6 games, 2 Fantasy/SciFi.

Totals: 485 games, 111 Fantasy/SciFi.
Tournament games are not included.

I also recently took a look at the Historicon 2014 program. When compared to the 2017 H'con PEL, you could see that dozens of names of GMs from 2014 are not in the 2017 list. They may still be around, but they are not hosting games at Historicon, at least not games listed in the current PEL. FYI, game submission for Historicon is still open.

Thanks to all the GMs and convention staff for their efforts.

Enjoy the games. Hope to see you there.

I will be running my Congo game on Thursday evening and Friday morning "The Treasure of Makoko Mbe" that will allow four players. Then I'm helping my friend Jerry, aka Nazrat run two Battlegroup games in 20 mm "Morning of 902" Friday evening and "Direct From Detroit" Saturday morning. Both of those games will host about six players, but Jerry always tries to allow for a couple of more.

Looking forward to finally making the convention after a long hiatus and its last hurrah at Fredericksburg. I was there for the first FCC HCon it seems fitting I am there for the last.

Bowman give me a call. A few weeks back I ended up capsized in my kayak when a jerk going too fast in the no wake zone caught me in his wake and I could not turn in time. Sadly, my crappy Android phone was in my pants pocket and it drowned. I had not backed up my phone numbers onto the cloud so I have been rebuilding my data with my shinny new iPhone 7 Plus. I will never go back to an Android. Oh and I now back stuff to the cloud. Anyway I know you, Jerry and I had plans to meet up and have a game together. My phone number is still the same. Looking forward to rolling dice and pushing minis with you.

On another point why the concern about how many fantasy/science fiction games? Why not single out the Pulp games? Technically the game I am running could be considered Pulp but it is also Colonial.

I am looking forward to game mastering again and having fun with all there. I also have my eye on trying to get into at least a game or two. I have found that since I game master more often than not that I rarely have the time to also play at the conventions.

Old Contemptibles13 Jun 2017 7:32 a.m. PST

One of the best line up of games that I've seen in a long time.

rampantlion13 Jun 2017 8:26 a.m. PST

Thanks for posting! My Bannockburn game is listed for Friday at 1pm. Stop and play or at least say hello.

Bowman13 Jun 2017 1:53 p.m. PST

Bowman give me a call.

I will.

But first I'm going to see if I can get into one of your Congo games.

historygamer13 Jun 2017 5:46 p.m. PST

I'm sure with the high number of fantasy/sci fi games they'll set record attendance. ;-)

kallman13 Jun 2017 7:46 p.m. PST

Love to have you in my Congo game Bowman. Congo has become one of my favorites. I will post some photos soon of playtests and to whet people's appetites.

You know historygamer it probably doesn't hurt. YMMV

Oh and Bowman I am dusting off my Chaos fleet just for you. wink

You're not beating a dead horse anymore, you're beating a dusty skeleton.

jdpintex14 Jun 2017 10:22 a.m. PST

I forgot to pre-register for a sci-fi game, but maybe I can get into one while I'm there.

historygamer15 Jun 2017 9:07 a.m. PST

"…you're beating a dusty skeleton."

Would that be Hcon at the FCC? :-)

TSD10115 Jun 2017 6:33 p.m. PST

Well that skeleton will be buried in just over a month, so get the beatings in while you can.
