As the muffled and strident cries of "You are an enemy of the Daleks!" coming from my cupboard had been annoying me for the last few weeks, I decided to take them out and give them a lick of paint. Whilst they're not completed, this has seemed to have placated them somewhat…it would appear that Daleks are a little bit vain. Who'd have thought?

Progress can be found here:

Let's see… a species that considers every other race in the universe to be so inferior that the only option is to exterminate them… and you didn't consider the slight possibilty that they may be a little bit vain…

Remember that 'exterminate' option. Keep the cupboard firmly locked…

I REALLY hate the new paradigm Daleks myself, I always called them 'Health and Safety' Daleks – designed to make them more comfortable to operate!

Give me the old gold Daleks anyday!

The fairly unpopular new paradigm Daleks seem to have been quietly put to one side..they haven't been seen on screen for a while.Although I might be wrong and can't recall if any were sneaked in during the previous season opener set on Skaro?
So otherwise it has been a case of back to the 2005 bronze versions.

"OLD Gold Daleks…????"

Back to kindergym with you, herkybird! ;)

Battleship grey was the livery of the Daleks of my childhood. Remarkable to think that fact doesn't make me a real 'veteran' Whovian; those are the folk who fondly remember the cross little killers in silver and blue.

Forrester – No, I don't believe the NDP's showed up in The Magician's Apprentice. They do indeed seem to have died at the end of Matt Smith's time in the TARDIS.

Carrion – yes, I know exactly where you're coming from; My pepperpots demand brush time in screeching, imperious tones. Fortunately, mine are a big bigger than yours, thereby delaying the blindness that will surely result from painting all those hemispheres…

We are but slaves of the Daleks!

Very nice paintjobs.
yes another vote for Battleship grey with black orbs.
Maybe a red one with white orbs And a black one with white orbs.
And maybe the ultra-modern ones in silver with blue orbs.
I'm still searching for 15mm versions.

Dr. Who Risk will give you some that are close enough for 15mm, though you'll get a mix of classic and NP ones.
