I wanted to beef up my Carabiniers for Sharp Practice, and thought it would be a good opportunity to compare to manufacturers. Since the first half of the formation was from Front Rank, I bought these new ones from Foundry. I was surprised by just how similar they were in size and proportions! Overall, they mixed just great, and I can hardly tell which is which unless I hold them up to eye level.

Thanks for the kind replies!

Painting these really made me appreciate "parade" uniforms. Even though the greatcoats and oil skinned shakos might be more correct for campaigns, these were just very fun to paint. :)

From the angle photographed I cannot tell them apart (only clue is the oh so characteristic Front Rank poses).

Like you, I am surprised (beautifully done though, great artwork) by how well they work together. I have never, ever, seen a Foundry figure "in the flesh", but honestly dismissed them as just early Perrys and much too small, to judge by reviews.

I must now admit………….hmmm

Yeah, I found no problem with the actual sculpts. If anything, my main gripe with Foundry is that a lot of their Napoleonic miniatures are only available in packs with a single pose, which isn't that great for skirmish size games.
