I am looking for an 18th. century painter artiest figure in either 25 mm or 28 mm. I am sure the figure exists. I seen photographs of it. He is holding his brush and pallet standing in frock coat and buckle shoes. But, I just can't seem to discover who makes him.

If I can't find him, could anyone suggest an alternative figure.

Wargames Foundry did an artist figure several years back as a "special offer" limited edition. I do not believe it is currently in production.

The figure you describe sounds like the Foundry one.
Maybe something usefull for you here?

Stokes Swartz had a figure on his Grand Duchy of Stollen blog that he converted from a standing duelist in shirtsleeves holding a pistol. He replaced the weapon with a brush, added an easel with canvas and some accents, and did a beautiful job. You may be able to get some inspiration there if you can't find the figure ready-made. Regards, Tom

I have two different such figures. However, after looking for them this morning neither willingly jumped into my open hands. I will look a bit more later today and if I find them I will let you know.

I found one. It does not meet your description. Sorry!

You might be thinking of the guy shown on Foundry's site at link

They say that if you buy the Starter Paint Set, "We also include a free Kevin the Painter model to get you started"; but you may think £95.00 GBP a littlw costly if all you want is the figure!

Definitely Wargames Foundry. I have one.
I did a brief search of their site but couldn't find a listing. There is however a Kevin Dalimore self portrait figure in the How to Paint section. You could always email for availability.

Don't Eureka make a similar figure?
