THE 16TH CENTURY PIRATES
The story is set during the 16th century, when Japanese pirates proliferated along the Chinese coastline. In 1557, the pirates take over Cengang in Zhejiang. is a big fan of the Age of Sail, and these ships really speak to him - he loves transitional eras, and the Anglo-Dutch Wars was one of those.
