So, having only played one game of Pikeman's Lament, it became sort of obvious that the Pikeman's Lament is, "How do I protect the shot?"

Since neither shot nor pike have no reaction to being charged, and cavalry can choose to charge anyone in range, how can the pike unit protect the shot?

I mean, I sorta don't mind if pikes have a diminished role at this level of representation, since they were rarely dispatched for small unit actions. Forces represented at this level would most likely consist of all cavalry or a combination of horse and shot. You might run into pikes in more of a defensive role.

Hi folks,

for those of you who aren't on facebook, I've just launched a website and online shop for my new wargames scenery venture, Take Cover Scenics. I make handmade, flexible wargames roads, hedges and fields in various scales, with more products coming soon. I'm also available for commissions.

The web Address is takecoverscenics.co.uk

Thanks,

John

Interesting product there John. However I cannot see a geographical address on your website beyond just Leeds.

Kind of wondering why someone thought it would be a good idea to cross-post this to the WW2 Discussion Board …

Yes, my pike question was only posted to ECW and Renaissance lists.

When is the bug scheduled to take TMP over?
