Hey Guys,
Anyone make any lists for the Lord of the Rings using the Dragon Rampant rules? We're looking at trying to do a pretty big battle this summer.

Let me know if you find anything. The club here are looking to do something similar.

I've been working on some ideas which I will try and dig out. Any particular time period or antagonists? Classic War or the Ring Gondor/Rohan, earlier conflicts between Arnor and Angmar, Second Age?

So far I'm just using the book but picking the troops thematically

Yea creating them whole cloth seems easy enough, and DR is also is flexible enough to allow for thematically neat adaptations if your group agrees. Stuff like an Elf counting as two models or 3-4 Orcs counting as ONE model would allow for some neat looking games while leaving the rules in place.

Sunjester,
We were looking at the Pelennor fields, but and Gondor Rohan
would be great

I've found my orc list, but cannot find the others yet. These are book-based rather than the films or GW ranges.

Elite Uruks/Bodyguard Orcs (such as Bolg's bodyguard or Ugluk's followers): Bellicose Foot (possibly with Shiny Armour)
Uruks/Soldier Orcs: Light Foot with either Offensive or Mixed Weapons
Snaga/Smaller Orcs: Light Foot with Mixed Weapons and Fearful
Trolls: Elite Foot
Wargs/Wolves: Lesser Warbeasts
Wolf Riders: either Heavy Riders with Fearful or else Light Riders with Short Range Missiles
