I thought there were horns that came out of the top of his breast armor plate. There is an old picture of this in burning of Prospero novel if I recall.

Also a third party model that was made that was close to that drawing but not official GW so I personally steered away from it.

Every image that GW have shown of heresy era Magnus have had those chest "tusks", so why release a figure without them?

I picked up a reasonable Magnus from Russia recently. It's not as nice as the FW version or the Grim Skull minis one sold through Wargames Exclusive, but also has the chest pointy bits.
