To all the other members of other tolerant religions and non-religious I want to say that this post is not intended to offend your own beliefs but for Christians, today is celebrated as the most significant and joyous event of human history and if this belief is not shared by you then I genuinely hope you all have a day that is meaningful and joy filled. |

"Shame your man got nailed to a tree… ' Shame that the inhabitants of this world ever felt inclined to nail anyone to a tree but it was precisely for this propensity to cruelty that we needed a redeemer; One who through a show of complete solidarity would willfully surrender himself to every type of human debasement including mockery and torture. The mocking and cruelty continue of course but as you mentioned the result is definitively positive and massively favors the tolerant and the lovers of peace. So in this case I'm very grateful that 'our man' allowed himself to be nailed to a tree :) |

Just got back from church. He is risen and thank God we can worship Him in a country where there is no physical persecution as our Brothers and Sisters are experiencing in some other countries today. |

Born into and raised Catholic. In our backyard was a Magnolia Tree. It blossoms beautiful pink flowers every year right around Easter. My parents moved out of their house two years ago but we still drive past to see the tree in bloom. I always drew comfort from the thought that both the tree of The Crucifixion and the blossoms of the Magnolia Tree occupied the same timeframe. A juxtaposition of Free Will to accept or reject His word. |

He was risen on that day and continues to rise in the hearts of believers daily. We had a very nice Easter/Resurrection play- I got tagged to be the Centurion. (type cast I tell ya) |
