It's not an SUV, it's an extended cab pickup. But they did a nice job with it.

Actually, there is no clear cut definition of "SUV". Usually it means anything that has both onroad/offroad capability and some extra carrying capacity. It has been linked to 4-wheel drive but at times has also covered 2-wheel drive vehicles. Manufacturers usage of the term "SUV" means a different set of safety regulations they must comply with rather than what the actual class of vehicle is. Many different sized vehicles, including pickup trucks, may and can fall into the category.
