Was cleaning up some 15mm cannons for painting, and discovered I somehow had an extra wheel. Hooray!

As I cleaned up the mold lines, I was happily planning what I was going to do with the extra wheel. You would have thought I won the lottery. grin

Then I discovered that one of the other wheels was incompletely cast. Oh! So maybe that's why they threw in an extra wheel?

The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away!

So now I'm wondering if I can salvage the 'bad' wheel enough to use it for something…

Snap off the mis-cast part, paint up the rest and use it as a broken wheel decoration on the base. Or base it separately and use as a status marker (out of ammo, disordered, etc). Of course, then you'll have to find more mis-cast wheels. Oh, the perils of collecting miniatures!

Bury the miscast section in "mud" or "snow" on a base.

Or, be creative and make yourself a one of a kind nose ring for your next gaming session.
