One of the three games played at this month's meeting of the DWG was a scenario recreating some of the fiercest fighting during the ACW at the the Battle of Antietam/Sharpsburg in 1862.

This was also the first run out at the club of 'Pickett's Charge', Dave Brown's new rules for the ACW.

If you would like to see how the game played and first impressions of these rules then just follow the link to the club blog.

I should add that I am just your humble reporter on this game and ACW is not my strong suit thus any questions you might have about the scenario or rules are probably best left on the blog where I am sure someone will be along to provide a sensible reply

Entertaining and informative report – thanks. I have a copy of the rules but have not yet had a chance to use them.

How many castings are in an average regiment using this ruleset?

Fat Wally14 Apr 2017 7:14 a.m. PST

A standard regiment is 5 bases. I use 4 figures to a base so 20 figures.

Regiments can vary from 3 bases (Small) to 7-10 (Large).

Edward we must rectify that soon mate.
