I need a better storage solution for my growing 1/2400 fleet. All the ships are based if that helps. Any suggestions?

I have magnetic sheets in my storage boxes and metal bases on the minis. Never shift or get dinged up. For the older figures, rather than remount them I put stick on magnetic panels on them. They hold well enough, magnet on magnet.

I use a small blob of blu tack and keep them in plastic Really Useful boxes.

For a lot of my stuff these days I like using steel tape and a storage container lined with sheet magnet. Should work fine for 1/2400 ships, too.

I like magnets on the models and steel in the box. Steel corners can catch the mat, magnet corners are not so sharp. I suppose clipping the corners of steel bases would do the same thing

I have mine mounted on the ODGW clear acrylic bases, and keep them in A4 box files lined with non slip mesh. It holds them really securely

I follow the same system as 21eRegt. Works well.

Magnetic sheet on bases, steel storage boxes. Survive car journeys over potholed roads with no problems
