An All Quiet on the Martian Front battle report

Mullan Pass is one of only a handful of passes that is deemed passable by Tripods across the Rocky Mountains. As such, holding them is paramount. Not because of the shipping yards of Tacoma, or the millions of Americans on the west coast, but because if these are cleared, then there are that many more Martians that can be deployed to break the all-important Mississippi line.

Sounds like it was fun. Too bad it wasn't fully resolved. It sounded like the Americans were about to pull out a victory.
