USS Congress was one of the original six Humphreys frigates authorized by Congress in 1794. She was laid down in 1795 in Hacket Shipyard, Portsmouth, New Hampshire and launched August 15, 1799.

You sailing ship modelers always blow me away with your incredible modeling skills. I would almost be afraid to game with them.

Vol, awesome job, especially with the sail plan.

Mark,
That's the main reason I do my own masts, for strength. And when I do my own sails, they aren't just glued, they are tied to the masts. Then the rigging tightens up everything even more. They are tough models.

Great stuff, Vol!

Oh! how I hate you Vol. Your fleets/ships look so lovely. The only thing that would make me happy would be for my shoddy boats too blow your masterpieces out of the water. O.K. I'm a little bitter! but would love one day to play with your ships across a table from me and my blobs of metal. I can dream!
Thanks for showing.
Be safe

Really really nice ships Vol. Your work as modeller is oustanding!

She's an absolute beauty Vol, well done! The squadron looks extremely formidable.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the comments. I decided not to maKe the davits and mount the boats on Congress, like all US frigates had, because I have run out of boats. I need to order more from GHQ before I do anymore.

Cheers,
Vol
