Would have liked to have seen how this author would have rated HMS Vanguard, which was actually the best British Battleship.

I believe his angle was "only ships that actually saw service" during the war. Vanguard was a good ship (very dated guns, though reliable ones) but, didn't enter service until the war was over.

He also didn't include ships like the Montana or the German concepts etc…
