I have used these rules in several battles.

They are exceptionally well researched. They are worth having just as reference material, even if you don't game with them.

They are also rather deep into the "highly detailed" side of the rules spectrum. The game mechanism (for example the hit location mechanism) are well thought out, and so you use fewer die roles than comparable games, or even some games with less detail.

These rules are for the player who wants to know the details of tank-vs-tank combat in his gaming experience. If you want to be able to play a platoon (at first) up to a company (when you are more familiar with the rules) or so, and you want to experience the differences between a T-34m41 facing off against a Pz IIIj (lange), or a T-34m42 facing off against a Pz IIIm, these are the rules for you.

Mobius, who frequents these boards, is the author and keeper of the Panzer-War rules and website. He is a very knowledgeable fellow, who freely shares his knowledge.
