I'll be in Stockholm for a few days in mid May and am looking for advice on things to see. Looking through some previous post I saw there were a couple of gaming stores but the post was a few years old. What's open now?

Go and see the Vasa, so much more impressive than the Mary Rose.

And the Naval Museum.. less well known but a great visit…

Beside the above mentioned museums I would recommend Livrustkammare/The Royal Armoury where you can see Gustavus Adolphus horse and clothes and Charles XII and other stuff. Gaming stores-theres only a Games Workshop store which is not that exciting

Dan, there is a place called Alphaspel 10 minutes out on the Underground. alphaspel.se/butiken
The Army Museum mentioned above has a Wargames exhibit right now.

From your profile you play CoC, pretty sure we can hook you up with a game at the club on a weeknight if you like.

Thomas thanks for this. It looks like just the place. Time will be tight on this visit but as my daughter is moving to Stokholm I may take you up on your offer of a game in the future.

Very nice!
Easiest way to keep up and to find us in the future is my blog
getitpainted.blogspot.se
or my mate Jocke
miniatyrmannen.blogspot.se
where we report our ongoing and upcoming games.

Go to the Armemuseum and pick up a copy of the promotional game I designed for them on the battle of Poltava in connection with their Krigsspel exhibit (history of wargaming). My friend Oskar is in charge of the exhibit. They also have some great exhibits on Swedish army history.

Naval museum is cool too.

Tradition of London has a store near Stockholm that I visited in summer 2018. VISIT THE STORE if you are in Stockholm you will NOT be disappointed.
