What ranges from those or others are about the same size as Peter Pig's figures? Are they close enough to use together on the same stand? Can anyone share some comparison or unit pix? Thanks! |

MJ Figures match well for size. Their 15mm are for Afghanistan but they have a good range of Russians to represent regular troop types. link |

For my African games, I mostly use Peter Pig with some figs from QRF, Old Glory, Rebel, MJ, and Flashpoint. While some of the lines have more variation than others, I am fine with them on the same table. My figs are all individually mounted, so they can be mixed in any combination. I also use a handful of figs from Eureka, but none are standing, so I do not have a good feel for their overall height and compatibility. And, I have a just a few from Quality Castings, but I generally feel that that the QC figs are too small; I only use a few of their kneeling heavy weapons and crew figs. Their standing Soviet crew figures were dwarfed by my QRF Soviets, which strike me as being about 50th percentile regarding height of 15mm figs. All of that said, I have met soldiers ranging from 5'-4" to 6'-8" tall. Figure height should vary. Weapons sizes, Ideally should not, but some companies are better about this than others, and if you mix figs, you will get variation. Even if you don't mix figs, you may get variation in weapons and gear size. |

I have mostly QRF vehicles for AK47, with PP figures. |

QRF and Old Glory figures both match up perfectly fine with PP in my experience. Sculpting differences are more noticeable with vehicles, so try to get your vehicles from one company (or at least all vehicles based off the same hull). |

In my experience qrf tanks need the hull supporting otherwise the tracks sag, and wheeled vehicles need their axles replacing with brass rod for the same reason. Both types should be based to prevent damage. Regards Roger. |

I'm personally using mostly Old Glory 15s for infantry, with Peter Pig character figures and vehicle crew. But I also have a couple of packs of Rebel Minis African Militia and African Military to give some variety, along with their hostages, news crew, civilians, police, and rioters to provide some scenario figures. For more civilian variety, I added Khurasan's modern civilians and their Galactic Dictator for a character figure. Vehicles are mostly OG15s as well, simply for price, with a few Peter Pig and QRF thrown in for variety. I have a Nu-Bee 1/100 Mi-4 Hip helicopter. I also have a handful of heavy weapons from The Scene to give more variety for the technicals. |
