OK, it looks cute, but what on Earth are you going to do with it on a miniatures table? An objective marker, perhaps? At any scale at which I'd keep track of individual crewmen, I'd need a board longer than my property.

Well, it could work for a few tables at the same time.

Start with table one and two. One is where the artillery battery is, it can fire every other round and would target things on other tables, but primarily be there to take down fortifications that can't be crossed by the forces on table 2 while the enemy can try taking it out before your forces reach their objectives on the second table.

Then things shift, troops can move through table 2 if needed, but largely the action would shift to table 3 where the guns that survive their fight can still attempt to take shots at larger things while the troops pour into the city.

It looks to be basically pitched at the 40K crowd, so realistic artillery ranges probably aren't a concern.

Having it as an objective to be taken out works, though. You don't even need to game out what it's shooting out in detail; some abstract track of devastation done per shot feeding into victory conditions would do.

I think Borthan's on to something. At a convention, offer the gentleman at the next table artillery support from yours in exchange for a beer or two.
