Russian line awaits the French advance.
French right wing advances towards the Russian left.
The French right pushed back but did not break the Russian right. However the Russians were unable to keep the French from occupying their objectives. French tactical victory. I, of course, was commanding the Russians. |

Looks good :-) How have you adapted the rules? I notice units aren't the standard 4 bases for starters. Also, you have unattached general officer figures. Have you introduced command rules? |

Thank you for the kind comments. The rules are mostly the Napoleonic ones from "Wargaming: An Introduction". We added just a few items from his "Napoleonic Wargaming". Since firing and combat are based on the number of stands per unit, it doesn't matter too much how many stands are in a unit. We often use six stands for the French, five stands for the British, Prussians and Russians and seven or eight stands for the Austrians. Cavalry units are still four stands. We happen to have enough figures and also like the look of larger units but sizes are not written in stone. We have been using one general figure per brigade. They assist with morale tests for any one of their units to which they may be temporarily attached (which I routinely fail even with the help of a +1 from the brigadier). Otherwise we do not have additional command rules. There are also some additional officer figures and vignettes scattered around just to tart up the battlefield. We did add a simple ammunition rule for artillery batteries to cut down on long range "sniping" and a requirement for infantry units to form square in the close proximity of cavalry. Otherwise pretty much as written. |

I like those modifications. I may give those a try. I am a big fan of the NT Napoleonic rules. No fuss whatsoever and infinitely "hackable" |
