Hi. I am looking at basing a variety of 20mm artillery/gun pieces ranging from US 57mm and Pak 40 to large 88mm AA guns.

What are the ideal base sizes for these guns in 20mm scale? I prefer round based too.

I use really large fender washers. I believe in the two inch range. Large guns will have some overhang. I also use 2" for three man mortar and HMG teams. My two man weapons teams and basic 2 man infantry units are on 1" with some single figures on 3/4".

The fender washers will stick to magnetic heater vent covers for easy storage and transport.

Thanks. I actually use washers for smaller teams ala MGs, mortars or recoilless rifles as well as infantry

I usually do them on 40mm wide and as deep as the trails of the piece require.

88s need quite wide bases with their trails deployed :)
