I don't think we've done this since the passing of Larry Brom.

So…

Who would like to claim the title of oldest living member of TMP? Chronological age, not length of membership.

I'll start – I'm 59. Can anyone beat that? grin

Hafen von Schlockenberg03 Apr 2017 6:01 p.m. PST

Yes--but I'd feel better if we did Youngest Member instead.

vagamer63 Supporting Member of TMP03 Apr 2017 6:05 p.m. PST

61 and shortly that goes up another notch!

John Leahy Sponsoring Member of TMP03 Apr 2017 6:11 p.m. PST

Dang, I think I'd be in there on oldest membership!

Winston Smith03 Apr 2017 6:18 p.m. PST

I'll hold off on mine until I see the prize money.
"Show me the money!"
But so far I got youse guys beat.

LBJ195603 Apr 2017 6:31 p.m. PST

A paltry 60.

Toronto4803 Apr 2017 6:32 p.m. PST

Cacique Caribe03 Apr 2017 6:34 p.m. PST

vtsaogames03 Apr 2017 7:10 p.m. PST

As long as I'm around John, I have you beat by 3 months or more.

whitphoto03 Apr 2017 7:11 p.m. PST

My knees are about 80, the rest of me is about 37

hocklermp503 Apr 2017 7:13 p.m. PST

TNE230003 Apr 2017 7:24 p.m. PST

shirleylyn03 Apr 2017 8:05 p.m. PST

Well, a lady does'nt tell her age, …but 42.

Personal logo Editor in Chief Bill The Editor of TMP Fezian03 Apr 2017 8:27 p.m. PST

I'd feel better if we did Youngest Member instead.

We really can't do that, as it's probably best in this day and age if our teenage members do not reveal their ages.

As for the oldest, can anyone beat Ed Mohrmann at 76?

Personal logo ochoin Supporting Member of TMP03 Apr 2017 8:39 p.m. PST

I can give 76 metres & still beat him to the (100 metre) finish line!

(talks cheap & I hope Ed won't be offended).

wrgmr103 Apr 2017 10:04 p.m. PST

59 this year in June.

vagamer63 Supporting Member of TMP03 Apr 2017 10:17 p.m. PST

Hats off to Ed!!

sjwalker3803 Apr 2017 11:24 p.m. PST

Should Bill be nervous that a high proportion of his Supporting Membership will, in all probability, not be around in the next 10 years? Unless, of course, our executors forget to cancel the membership standing order, or we leave him every penny in gratitude, rather than leave the family estate to those feckless kids or the local cats home…

Personal logo piper909 Supporting Member of TMP03 Apr 2017 11:26 p.m. PST

Human years? Dog years? Do past incarnations count?

alien BLOODY HELL surfer04 Apr 2017 1:13 a.m. PST

hmm, take it this means all those asking for a response from you are sorted, if there is time for frivolous posts like this? regards the OP, 44 on Monday, so one of the middle pack I guess.

Chokidar04 Apr 2017 2:27 a.m. PST

I find this vaguely reassuring… :-)

ZULUPAUL Supporting Member of TMP04 Apr 2017 2:53 a.m. PST

Ochoin, given my current state of yard-work induced
feebleness, you could crawl to the finish and beat me
by kilometres !!

;-)

bobspruster04 Apr 2017 5:52 a.m. PST

I've been 24 for almost 40 years.

Checking my radiation half life…. should be next August. AARP is after me it seems.

Big Red Supporting Member of TMP04 Apr 2017 8:11 a.m. PST

I can't remember. What was the question?

I DO remember Ed writing for the Avalon Hill General back in the early to mid 1960s. (Note: no apostrophe).

OldGrenadier at work04 Apr 2017 8:32 a.m. PST

My kids say I'm old as dirt.

Personal logo etotheipi Sponsoring Member of TMP04 Apr 2017 8:49 a.m. PST

I am 47 and SWMBO is 48. I married an older woman and revel the six months a year that I can point that out.

a high proportion of his Supporting Membership will, in all probability, not be around in the next 10 years

Based on my grand- and great-grand-parents' ages at death, I am not at the halfway point yet (My father's age was only 79, but he got cancer from smoking and then had massive long-term health issues from the treatment. Then again, he made it to almost 80 surviving both cancer and radiation/chemo cancer treatment of the 70's.). Seventy-odd plus ten is a low bar to set.

As for my own prospects, fear is a motivator. SWMBO says she will kill me if I die first. Fortunately, I treat my body like a temple.

Hail, Dionysius!

I'm several days from being 49, and if it weren't for Gunfreak I'd be feeling like a spring chicken!

Right, off to do some push-ups…

Fortysomething…? Ask my wife, she keeps up with these things.

Personal logo gamertom Supporting Member of TMP04 Apr 2017 7:31 p.m. PST

Soon to be 65. My definition of old for the past 20 years is "10 or more years more than my present age." Nothing like having a sliding scale for measurement.

Dicymick05 Apr 2017 4:01 a.m. PST

Only 70 years young, but had to upscale when painting from 6mm to 28mm and may have to go to 54mm. It's an eyesight thing.
