They're tough. I've read reports of how some Norwegian mountain troops routinely surprise and show up American units that train with them. Apparently the rugged conditions of northern Scandinavia aren't as easy to navigate as some Americans expect, nor is their technology always the magic answer to every problem. And the Norwegians are better adapted to this arena and very capable of working and fighting in conditions that leave outsiders gasping.
