Sounds good to me, assuming you are talking about Dayton, Ohio. Hell, even Dayton, Kentucky would be OK. |

My wife's professional conference (MLA) changes yearly, it's been in DC, Baltimore, Toronto, San Diego, San Francisco, etc. I think it would go a long way toward addressing members' complaints about distance if Historicon could move up and down the I-95 corridor. I guess it is hard enough to find one good location. |

Multiple year contracts are cheaper than one offs. And we are a tiny con. |

Dayton Wyoming would be welcome too |

Are you certain it is not the White House for the next 3 years? I heard that the Donald is trying to make it the art of the deal. |

I think it would go a long way toward addressing members' complaints about distance if Historicon could move up and down the I-95 corridor. Other regions have their own HMGS branches and cons. |

I remember when origins moved every year. It was in Ann Arbor one year then Baltimore then Detroit then Texas and California. I think two years in one city like Pittsburgh then two years on the East Coast, then two years towards the south would be perfect. Great idea thanks Bill |

And we are a tiny con. And a very skin flint one… |

OK, so it sounds like Bill is going to start contacting venues in order to push his idea forward. |

Bob I was a dealer at Origins when it moved around. I sold at shows in Towson-Baltimore, Milwaukee, Dallas which really was north in Denton, Atlanta. |

Just to be sure of a room, I've made advance bookings in Moncton, Yellowknife, and Kelowna and several other major metropoles. In each case, hotel staff apologized for not knowing about the meeting and, as compensation, offered me a reduced rate plus free maple syrup and a hockey jersey of my choice. The Mounties have promised to drive all attendees from the nearest airport….. |

Historicon moving up and down the I-95 corridor. Did anyone else flash to an old (1968) Sidney Poitier movie titled For Love of Ivy? A casino inside a huge long-haul truck? We'd need a convoy, of course. And we'd have to pull into truck stops from time to time to switch from a gaming trailer to the flea market trailer. But still… |

I had heard it was moving to Disney World? |
robert piepenbrink | 02 Apr 2017 2:19 p.m. PST |
historygamer, that was just confusion caused by the frequent references to Dopey. |
Rudysnelson | 03 Apr 2017 3:05 p.m. PST |
If I remember correctly, a few years ago the IPMS show was heard at Disney World in Florida. |
