"On the night of March 21, 2017, U.S. military helicopters airlifted fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces rebel group in a daring attack on a strategic dam outside the town of Tabqa, just 20 miles west of Raqqa, the de facto capital of ISIS's self-declared "caliphate" in central Syria.

The initial fighting ended quickly. With U.S. Army Apache gunships flying top cover, SDF troops had seized the southern approach to the Tabqa dam, aka the Euphrates dam, within three days.

"Seizing Tabqa dam will isolate Raqqa from three sides and give the SDF the strategic advantage and launching point needed for the liberation of the city," the headquarters of the U.S.-led coalition stated…"

More likely flies--are the French a "Biblical" weapon?

I was thinking rocks from Heaven, probably traveling at really high speeds. But I would get doghoused (is that even a word?) for suggesting the other side try it.

Well, while we muse at the thousands ISIL could kill, perhaps we are overlooking the thousands being killed by the Iraqi's, Kurds, Iranians and Coalition forces. If you want a biblical plague, that's where you should find the abyss and peer into it. ISIL are mad, fundamentalist, sociopaths but their death toll is still small compared to the corpse piles attributed to other nations and states in this vile maelstrom of state and national killing. Don't look for a slaughter in sacred books. Read a newspaper, a web report or first-person testimonial on social media to see such metaphorical plagues unfold before you. War throughout the Middle East, privation and de facto apartheid in Israel and the Occupied Territories, starvation in the Horn of Africa, South Sudan and Yemen; these disasters can be laid at the feet of man, with no help from the gods.
