So what have I been up to this month? In a word…nothing! My wife's birthday, our anniversary, and a Spring Break vacation with our son, along with (primarily!) my own laziness have conspired to undermine any progress at all on my WWI ship project.
Still, I did get some gaming in, but it was all of the board game variety. I played "Test of Fire", a lite ACW wargame from Mayfair Games and "Betrayal at House on the Hill", a semi-cooperative horror game from Avalon Hill/Hasbro/WOTC. Both were first time plays and I enjoyed them both. May end up playing "Betrayal" again tonight if enough others show up.
Since I don't have any newly painted minis to show you, I decided to put up a picture of my painting area…where all the "magic" happens (or in this case, doesn't happen). The idea with all the shelves being, in theory, that I could actually see what paints I had available and find the one I wanted. In practice though, after a couple painting sessions of not putting the paints back when I'm done, they end up randomly scattered all over the desk top and I still can't find the one I want. Cubby-hole boxes on the sides serve to hold recently painted miniatures and primed stuff patiently waiting in the wings.
That's all for now. See you next time!
