Just sharing some 15mm/100th scale builds made from scraps; nearest camera, Japanese 'steel truck' coastal freighter (kitbashed, mostly from a Robert E Lee river boat), sailing Junk (old PYRO kit) and a Nationalist Chinese/Chicom Patrol Boat (old PT 109 kit).

Nicely done! Not everyone has the ability to see the conversion possibilities of kits like these … and your freighter is a great example of what you can make from something that was originally very different. |

Thanks, Bob. My intent was to encourage others, particularly the younger folks. Start small, don't be afraid to make mistakes. This armed launch came from a Revell USS CONSTITUTION kit.

Thanks, Martin! The Patrol Boat is simply a quick salvage job and I'm not done messing with the junk. Dyehard, Your kitbashes look like extrapolations of the Confederate semi-submersibles. Ever heard of Ross Winan's cigar ships?
