"At SOFINS 2017, the Special Operations Forces Innovation Network Seminar Exhibition, the French Company Renault Trucks Defense unveils the prototype of the VLFS (Véhicule Léger Forces Spéciales – Light Vehicle Special Forces) that will replace the old vehicles VPS (Special Forces Patrol Vehicle) and P4 PATSAS in service with the French Special Forces.
In January 2016, the French Company Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) has signed a contract with the DGA (Procurement agency of the French Army) for the delivery of 443 Special Forces vehicles including 240 VLFS (Light Vehicle Special Forces and 203 PLFS (Heavy Vehicle Special Forces). In February 2017, RTD has delivered a first batch of 25 PLFS to the French Special Forces.
The VLFS unveiled at SOFINS 2017 was a prototype, but the French DGA (Procurement agency of the French Army) expects the first delivery for 2018…"
