My buddies and I have played a couple of games now with these rules, and there is one thing that we want to make sure we are doing right…shooting from cover and trying to spot the shooters.

Scenario: US tanks are set up just inside the edge of woods. When the Soviets come into range, the US tanks light them up. According to the rules, stationary vehicles in cover can't be spotted outside of 10" so the US tanks just sit there and pick off targets as the Soviets have to keep moving closer to spot.

Other than improving the Soviet tactics (use smoke, for example), is there anything about being easier to spot firers on the edge of cover that we are missing? We are assuming we just can't spot the firers inside the edge of cover until within 10".

Anyone got an answer for this? Thanks in advance for the help!

In other games, when a unit fires it is considered as spotted.

Moving in open or Firing, spotted at vis. Limit. Check QR sheet.

Oh good Lord….I cannot believe six of us played for three hours and no one read beyond "moving in open"…

To quote Puss in Boots…I have shamed myself.

Thanks for that info…I'm going to break it to the guys now. I hope they don't shoot me in the open, or cover.

Just tell them it was fog.
