So a question for traditional board gamers. How complex would you want a solitaire game. Do you prefer tactical (a battle) or Strategic (war)? A lot of counters/ playing pieces or a few?
We are working on converting several design concepts from two player games to single player games.
We will release a few special edition Time Portal Passages magazines with a series of articles on a topic and include a game with it as well.
In regards to miniatures since this is a miniatures oriented page. If tactical battles are used, then the deployment and OB information will be available for players to create miniature scenarios. The text part of the magazine will also have similar data.
If it is a Strategic map, the mechanics and map would allow for simple campaigns for miniatures as well.
Several of the titles will book books written in the uniform background/ Osprey style books but converted to magazines.
Thanks for the input.

I prefer simple board games like some of the old classic SPI games or Bill Banks' Ancients. Also, I prefer tactical level games versus strategic. Number of counters? 50 – 100. Standard NATO symbology, where appropriate. Don't like it when movement factors are left off the counters.

Ideally a simple board game that can be used as a campaign game fore miniatures, where fights can be resolved with miniatures or the board game system as desired.

I have used moderately complex board games for such purposes in the past and don't wish to replicate the paperwork.
