A short report, and photos, of our most recent American Civil War encounter set in 1862. General Lee with nearly the better part of two corps strikes at Major General Pope's Army of Virginia while strung out in march column.
As always we use the excellent Volley & Bayonet rules and 6mm armies. The scenario was developed using "Road to Glory" and provided an entertaining game. Unequal forces, the burden of attack, difficult terrain and challenging reinforcement schedules all combined for some interesting situations. A short report along with a few photos can be found here: link |
