Just realized it is actually FITE #9. Sorry… I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this convention this year. I have attended over the last few years and have run various games. It is really one of my favorite conventions because it is so relaxed. This year I had used the Contact Us form to see about running a tournament for Sergeants Miniatures Game and Sergeants D-Day. Because of the type of games these are, it wouldn't take up too much space. I haven't heard anything from them and it has been about a week. My concern is that I don't know when registration ends (I don't see that on the web site) and don't want to miss out on running something. Thanks. |

Hi Michael, Sorry. The website has gone through a refit and perhaps that may explain why we did not receive your message. Someone will reach out to you shortly. TRU |

Thanks for the reply. I was a bit worried because I hadn't seen anything on here saying GM registration was open and was afraid the web site was "active" but not really being monitored. I was worried the convention might not be happening this year… |

This is a really enjoyable regional convention, gamer's should check it out. Some great games, a few vendors, usually a food truck, and a type of flea market. Go the the website for details. We're running Chickamauga Friday at 1PM, here is the listing: Bloody Battle at Viniard Farm – Chickamauga, Sept., 1863 This part of the Battle of Chickamauga was fought for control of the Lafayette Road. One of the last offensive thrusts of the Confederacy and the 2nd bloodiest battle of the war (second only to Gettysburg), it starts almost by accident as a Union brigade pushes through the thickly wooded terrain…right into a Reb brigade in battle line! After that, each army continues to feed troops into the fight. The action swirls around the area of Viniard farm. No neat battle lines here with armies all lined up across an open field. This heavily wooded and hilly battlefield sees the Union troops jumping out of march column directly into the fight, while the Rebs slam into those lines as hard and fast as possible, before too many bluecoats get into the fray. Open fire on Turn 0 and keep it up until the end! link link |
