I have the Starship Troopers Box Game by Mongoose Publishing. All on the sprues except one. All minis are plastic. I clipped one mini years ago to mod and use for something else. Are the box set troopers M-1A4 or Cap Troopers? Is there a difference? I ask as I want to complete the set. |

M-1A4 are power armor suits from the animated series, Cap Troopers are from the movies |

There are the M-1A4 Cap Troopers (all one phrase) which are the plastic guys that come with the box set that look like the TV show power armor suits. Then there are the veterans, the females Cap Troopers, and Roughnecks which are metal. The Pathfinders (they are plastic but have metal heads with night vision googles) Then you have the Light Armor Troopers which look like the guys from the movies. |

The term 'cap troopers' comes from the book. There is no 'canon' with regard to the actual appearance of the suits beyond what Robert Heinlein told us. Power armor M-1A4 Power Suit troopers are what's in the box. The veterans, females and Roughnecks sets (metal) are all M-1A4 Power Suit troopers. They look like the CGI series 'Roughnecks' troopers. Light Armor Troopers (the movie guys) were introduced in the Klendathu supplement and Mobile Infantry Army Book. |
