Salutations, gentlefolk !

Looking for infantry figures – AEIR #9 – for a LIR army. Want to find some guys that are more active – not just 'standing at alert' – then the ones in the Old Glory or Essex or Outpost lines.

TTG had a good 'advancing' pose (though, IIRC, that trooper looked a bit 'stouter' than the centurian might want) – are they still available ? Other suggestions ?

TTG figures are now on the Alternative Armies site

Old Glory 15s pose is fairly similar to the TTG range.

Some ranges of Sub-Roman Britons and of Early Byzantines are worth looking at as well.

Assuming you mean 15mm, the armored figures from Splintered Light's "Dark Age Britons" actually make very nice Late Roman infantry, and have a wide variety of poses.

FYI on TTG from Alternative, they have free shipping on orders totaling 75 Pounds (Sterling) and have recently been offering free shipping for orders over 12 at intervals.

With the current exchange rate they are quite attractive with respect to price as well.

I also like the fact that TTG figures are a bit smaller and fit on the base with less finagling.

The drawback is the muscle cuirass (same as OG15) – Essex and Splintered Light now have them in mail which appears to be more correct.

Khurasan? link

The Khurasan sculpts are great, but I don't know why they went with that unusual "advance at trail spear" pose for the legion infantry. I might end up buying some to see if it's worth it to replace the spears with a more vertical hold, but I'm not sure. Legio Heroica is probably the better all around option.
