My friends, Ben and David Raybin present another mega-game: The Battle of Mars-La-Tour fought on 16 August 1870, during the Franco-Prussian War. Two Prussian corps encountered the entire French Army of the Rhine in a meeting engagement and, after one more battle, successfully forced the Army of the Rhine to retreat into the fortress of Metz. The Battle of Mars-La-Tour is also notable for one of the very last successful cavalry charges of modern warfare. Of the 800 horsemen who had started out, only 420 returned. Among the wounded was Lieutenant Herbert von Bismarck, son of the Prussian chancellor Otto von Bismarck.
The board is 6 by 12 feet using 28mm figures ( and for Nashcon, a few acres of Cigar Box battle maps ) and the new rules: Bloody Big Battles which is sort of like Fire and Fury but on an operational scale. Its time Nashcon experienced this great new rules set: 10 players will get the opportunity.
We tested this rules set based on great reviews.
