Nice work. I made my Numidian cavalry shields like cow hides. I like your use of more exotic hides.

Very nice indeed – we do like Numidians.

I cannot reach the site!

Zebras are tempting, but don't occur anywhere near Numidia. The people weren't negroes either; skin tone should be closer to that of Berbers.

Every day I look at the Warlord site where the Numidians are discounted and think "not today…" I struggle to get the hide pattern on the shields, though: yours look good.

Skin colour of Numidians is highly controversial, and from what I understand their armies were in any case likely multi-ethnic. Although my existing unit has what passes for a Mediterranean complexion my next lot will be black. That way I can appease both sides of the argument while also annoying them.

I talk about the skin color in the blog. And it's perfectly possible zebras inhabited north African 2000 years ago. Given it wss much more lush back then. And you had lions and elephants in North Africa too. Hell you even had lions in Greece and turkey and Spain

Then we'd better consider putting the Flying Spaghetti Monster on their standards too, what?
